“LAST CHANCE SALOON”

If you missed out on qualifying for the British Land UK Chess Challenge Megafinal there is still time to do so. A qualifying event will take place on Sunday, 25^th April, 2010 at Harvester, Boston Manor Road, Ealing/Hanwell, Middlesex,W7 2AX

The Last Chance Saloon is open to children under 18 years of age on 1^st September, 2009.

There will be 7 rounds each of 30 minutes. Clocks may be used on the higher boards. If clocks are used the time limit will be all the moves in 15 minutes per player.

Players will be able to qualify in age groups U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 & U18, both boys and girls. Scoring will be 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw and one for a loss.

To qualify, 17 points will be needed (for example 5 wins and two losses). A player over 11 years old can qualify by scoring 15 points, (e.g. 4 wins, 3 losses). A player may also qualify if they are top in their age/sex group. Usual UK Chess Challenge prizes will be won.

ARRIVAL 10:45am ROUND 4 - 12:45-13:15

ROUND 1 - 11:00-11:30 ROUND 5 - 13:40-14:10

ROUND 2 - 11:35-12:05 ROUND 6 - 14:15-14:45

ROUND 3 - 12:10-12:40 ROUND 7 - 14:50-15:20

PRIZE GIVING 3:30p.m.
