SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:10:30-11:00 Press Call
11:00-11:30 Timed match between Karjakin and Howell
12:00-17:00 Simultaneous chess event with Karjakin and Howell playing members of the public and UK Chess Challenge Supremi.
Grandmaster Danny King will be taking on members of the public at the same time in simultaneous chess.12:30-17:00 Blitz Chess Tournament – open to members of the public, selected UK Chess Challenge players, and Supremi waiting for their simul. game with Karjakin or Howell.
5:15 - Presentation
Karjakin and Howell will play 20 boards each. As players finish their games they will be replaced by other players. Thus the Supremi may not start their games immediately at 12:00 but will play in the Blitz tournament until their turn comes. All competitors in the Chess Simultaneous and Blitz Tournament will receive a certificate.Below are the selections for the Chess Simultaneous by Sergey Karjakin and David Howell, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

ALL SELECTED PLAYERS ABOVE, WHETHER FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS OR THE BLITZ TOURNAMENT, WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL BRITISH LAND UK CHESS CHALLENGE T-SHIRT ON THE DAY.As there will be a Press Call at 10:30, it would be helpful if the Supremi could arrive at 10:00, to be fitted out with their T-shirts. The competitors in the Blitz event need to arrive by 12:00 to receive their T-shirts and get ready for the Blitz event. Of course, if they wish to see the match Karjakin – Howell, they should arrive earlier.
All friends, relatives and members of the public are welcome to come and watch the events which will be held in the open air at Somerset House. There will be extra places in the Blitz Tournament available on the day, but they cannot be guaranteed. There are no entry fees for these events and there will be trophies and other prizes for the best performances.
